Album Imprinting
What is album imprinting?
Album Imprinting is a great way to put the finishing touch on a scrapbook! It is done by pressing heated metal type or specialty dies thru a special foil, onto the album. The combination of the heat and pressure imprints the characters.
In our fast paced electronic age, imprinting is actually rather antiquated. Each letter is hand selected and set in a type tray. There is no room for error as the imprint is permanent.
Where can I imprint on my album?
We can imprint almost anywhere on the album, including the front cover, back cover and the spine.
Will it work on every album?
To find out which albums work best for imprinting, please refer to Imprinting Guidelines for a detailed list. We simply cannot imprint some albums. Whether it be the material of the album or the firmness, we have found that some albums do not imprint very well. For those albums on which imprinting is not a good option, we offer imprinting on Cawley plates.
How long does it last?
Imprinting will enhance the preservation of your albums! It should last a very, very long time as long as the imprinting is not intentionally scratched.
